It’s definitely too bad that this song never had much radio play. This song sends chills down my spine during every listen. There needs to be more of these non-jingle style songs on country radio.

It’s too bad country radio isn’t more diverse, because a lot of older artists like this have been producing really remarkable work lately. Tracy Byrd, Willie Nelson, Roseanne Cash, Rodney Crowell and Dwight Yoakam come to immediate mind. It’s nice to hear artists like this make albums like they’ve still got something left to prove, even if their work is ultimately underappreciated.
