Alas , I know. The Eagles and their ilk are the very embodiment of &quot;faux country&quot;. Country music won&#039;t get into high gear again until John Anderson , Randy Travis and Dwight Yoakum are more influential than the Eagles, Marshall Tucker and Crosby Stills &amp; Young

By the way Fleetwood Mac was quite popular when I lived in England, but they were a Blues Rock band led by Peter Green, not the insipid pop balladeers they later became.]]></description>
