“Red Umbrella” is definitely pretty to listen to, but the lyrics just don’t make that much sense.

I was listening to this song on Sirius, and I couldn’t for the life of me find anything country about it. It’s a sugary pop song, and it’s really bad. I expect more from Faith… I just wish she’d come out with better stuff.

I have to agree with the 9513 – this is a really really dumb song – sung reasonably well, but still a dumb song “C-”

I’m a fan of Faith Hill, particularly her more recent material. Her voice has just gotten better, she more sultry and sexier than ever, and she is taken creative risks that I really admire.

This song, however, is too reminiscent of her bubble-gum stuff that didn’t really make the best use of her vocal talent. Even so, I know songs like “Red Umbrella” are the kind that make her fan base very, very happy. And as far as the bubble-gum numbers go, this one isn’t too bad.

But I’d like to see more like the singles she released in 2006.
