Im aspiring writer myself, and i would be honored if K.T would let me write her biography. she has amazing story and it needs to be told. Shes not one of these “American Idols”!!
K.Ts voice is strong. i love her voice. you can tell her personality in it. I aslo love Patsy Cline and i find those two wonderful ladies similar in personality..maybe K.T. is our Patsy Cline.

K.T. has an amazing story that begs to be told… I’d love to read her biography or auto… Perhaps a movie about her life… Indeed, she is missed, but left us great songs and a few videos to watch a supremely gifted female artist perform and interact with her unique band. She borrowed nothing from anyone else… it was pure K.T.

My first exposure to K.T was at the Fox theatre in St. Louis–she opened for Randy Travis, in the late 80′s. I had just started listening to Country and “thought” I liked Randy Travis. (Unitl I heard K.T.) Ever since I saw her perform, she has been one of my very favorites. Sometimes a bit of time goes by between listening to her music, but everytime I do again, I realize why she is such a favorite of mine. I think she has a beautiful, soulful sound, packed full of emotion and sincerity. She makes me wish I knew her personally. I think she is one of the best & wish she would perform again!!!

Trisha Yearwood is by far my favorite singer of all time. But “Hold Me” is probally my favorite song of all time. I never have heard a song written with such talent. I love K.Ts voice and love all her albums. I dont think its aquired its just not that over polished country crap on radio now.

I’m so happy to see her this high. Even with all of the awards, I think she was always seen as a sort of outsider (not sure if was her age, her broadway background, etc). Her voice may be an acquired taste, but it packs a wallop of emotion, which sells it for me.

She definitely broke through barriers, especially for female songwriters. I miss her…

I’d agree that it’s an acquired taste. I’ve tried to get into her music because I love her personality and songwriting ability, but it just hasn’t worked for me. Still, I’m glad she’s been successful.

She has an amazing story. I think it’s cool that someone could break onto the scene at the age of 45. Unfortunately, I’ve never been able to acquire a taste for her voice. Would you say that it’s an acquired taste or is it just me?
