		<description><![CDATA[Kristofferson will be remembered as a great songwriter, albeit one whose great songs were concentrated in a relatively short period of time. Of the essential songs listed above, I don&#039;t think any of them came after 1977.

Unlike Harlan Howard who cranked out great songs for decades, Kristofferson seemed to lose his muse along the way. However, like Harlan Howard, Kristofferson&#039;s songs are best heard when performed by others.
