album review, interview plus threads – that’s coverage at its best. within a couple of days people interested in craig morgan’s past and future as a recording artist would find a lot of interesting information. good concept, nice job and fine team-work.

I know what CM means when he talks about Broken Bow’s promotion staff. They never seemed to be aware that Canadian radio stations wanted their artists’ music. Had to beg and plead repeatedly for CD’s for air and for giveaway and I even mentioned it to Craig when he was in for an interview in early 2004

Great interview, Blake! You’re questions got to the heart of things by being straightforward.

A few things intrigued me:

“There’s a lot of music out there, and we’re not on the traditional side and we’re not on the pop side.”

“We’re hoping to get on a big tour next year. We’re out with Trace Adkins, a great guy, great friend right now, but we’d like to get out with someone like Toby or Alan. We’re looking for ways to enhance our image. And that’d be a huge audience to play in front of.”

That’s pretty honest, a bit more straightforward than we usually read. I wonder what Trace would think?

“You’ve patterned your career off artists such as Merle Haggard, Conway Twitty and John Conlee. Is there a common thread among them and what goals do you
have to attain that level of a career?

There’s a number of other different influences in addition to those-James Taylor, Lionel Richie, Luther Vandross, great voices, and I pick something up from all of them.”

It’s interesting that he felt the need to throw in the non country influences in response to your question that stated the country influences.
