Good job – I always like Dan Seals – unfortunately there really isn’t a good collection of his material available.

“Everything That Glitters (Is Not Gold)” is my favorite followed by “Meet Me In Montana” and”My Old Yellow Car”

Dan Seals was one of County Music’s most under-appreciated artist. I really enjoyed this list and am grateful someone took the time to create it.

I’m wondering, however, why no songs from Seals’ two Warner Brother releases (Walking the Wire and Fired Up) weren’t considered. I understand they were not big sellers and WB never really supported them (I remember seeing “Wire” in the $2 discount bins at Wal-Mart not too long after it’s release), but there was some good songs on them, also, like “Mason Dixon Line”, “A Good Rain”, and “We Are One” from Walking The Wire and “A Rose From Another Garden” and “Still Reelin’ (From Those Rock & Roll Days)” from Fired Up.

But, overall, this list is awesome, and a fitting tribute to a great artist.

…i bought my first dan seals record more or less by accident, stumbled on this great post by accident but the fact that i have always enjoyed his music surely hasn’t been an accident. back in the days before the mp3 players, i rarely managed to make a compilation without “everything that glitters…” on it. to me, one of the most beautiful country songs of all times.

Tad, you have done such an incredible tribute to Dan’s music and, as a friend since 1968, I’m not sure anyone else could have been more thorugh and respectful. Dan, the man, was exemplary in his devotion to his Faith and family and his commitment to his principals. He honored all who met him with an infectious sense of humor and sincere graciousnes. My life is better from knowing Dan and his wonderful wife and family.

Great job !

I wasn’t especially fond of “They Rage On” or “Addicted” but I didn’t dislike them either. I got to see Dan Seals one time back during the middle 1980s – he struck me as being a gentle soul

Great list. Addicted is one of my all-time favorite songs by anyone. He had so many great songs. Like with most artists, I prefer the ballads.
