I really like this song. It is one of the few songs to really grab my attention on the radio lately. Everytime it is on, I enjoy hearing it.

I like Paisley music too but I find myself changing the station when this one comes on. I guess it’s the first 2 verses – they sound just plain corny to me.

I’m a big paisley fan but I’m can’t get into this one. I don’t really know why but this song does nothing for me.

While never a full-fledged Brad Paisley fan, I originally thought his stuff was unique enough and not bad. But over the past couple of years I find his songs much too “cliche-ey”, per se and just kinda boring. Perhaps it has something to do with his extreme overexposure on country radio? I don’t know, I’m just tired of being told he’s the “savior du jour” of country music.

I’m clearly biased, as people will know from my praise of this song in Paisley’s album review, but great review! I think you made an excellent point that I kicked myself for not making myself: While Paisley acknowledges the inspiration for the song, the song is much more subtle than that, which is what makes it much less heavy handed and hopeful. The production is funky, but I’m in.
