I’m pretty sure she hasn’t scrapped the project, at least not yet. According to a post I saw on her twitter, “Crazy Women” is going to be a bonus track on Lady and Gentlemen, along with an updated version of “Blue” and “Tonight the Bottle Let Me Down.” I think it’s existence as a bonus track is also mentioned in the single’s press release on her website.

This has to be one of THE best written songs ever. Wow! I can’t wait to download the single and buy the album. I saw Leann live in Snoqualmie, WA about a month ago. She sang this and the crowd went “crazy”, even though many if not all had never heard it before. Who cares what her personal life consists of… she’s a phenomenal singer and (surprising to me) a great performer. I loved her versions of the remakes for this album and He Stopped Loving Her Today is very comparable to I Told You So and Carrie Underwood.

I agree with JR. People should listen to the song and forget about the story that she cheated in her life. None of us, except for LeAnn Rimes, knows exactly what happened and the situation that brought forth the demise of her relationship. But it really shouldn’t have any bearing on the song itself. Hate her if you want, but judge the song on itself, not on the artist.

That said, I’m not the biggest fan of the song but think it’s ok.

*sigh* I shouldn’t be surprised that so many fans cannot get past a broken relationship to enjoy an artist’s music. But I constantly am. I could almost understand hating on the Dixie Chick’ politics, even if I didn’t agree with it. But get real people, we all end up in relationships that end less than amicable. Let he who is without sin …

That said, I think this song is a little busy for me, but I like it a lot better than her take on ‘Swingin’ and am glad she seems to have scrapped that project.

I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that, for the exact reason Danni mentioned, any chance this song had at doing well on the charts in completely out the window.

No one wants to listen to a cheater. I sure don’t.
