Crazy, huh?
Andrew named the first one that came to my mind with Gary Allan’s “Drinking Dark Whiskey”…and I love the cover of Ferlin Husky’s “Wine Me Up” on Gary’s debut album. Back in 2003 Gary used to perform a mean cover of the Merle “Think I’ll Stay Here and Drink” chestnut in his live shows that totally turned me on to a song I hadn’t paid much attention to before.

Toby Keith has had some good drinking songs I’ve enjoyed over the years, and so has Lee Ann Womack on the ladies’ side.
