I would have liked it a bit better if not for the percussion issues, but I still think the single stands a good chance of creeping into my yearly best-of list.

I don’t really mind the percussion, but it is probably what kept me from thinking it was as awesome as it could be. With that said, I still really enjoy it. Presley’s voice isn’t as strong as Monroe’s or Lambert’s, but that makes her a good anchor for the trio, someone to balance out their more unique voices.

If not for the annoying offbeat percussion, the song could’ve entered the upper end of best of the year lists.

I love everything about this song. The instrumentation is almost like the three girls heard “Mean” by Taylor Swift and decided to adapt it for the big girl leagues, especially with the hand claps, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing.

Lambert can do no wrong at this time and Monroe has amazing songwriting skills, so I’m eager to see what else will come from them.

B? I personally give it an A+ b/c it’s my favorite song of the year so far. 2nd is the Kenny Chesney duet.

I’m loving the Pistol Annie’s. They’re like a breath of fresh air. I’m a big Miranda Lambert fan though, so I guess it’s not surprising I feel that way.

I will welcome any single that features Ms. Ashley monroe. When a friend passed along her debut album back in 2006 I immediately fell in love with her voice. There was something very ‘Womackish’ about it. I look forward to the album in August!

Hey CU how about an Ashton Shepherd review. I’d really love your take on it. I cannot stop listening to I’m Good.
