Montgomery Gentry “Rebels On The Run” hopefully will be in the top 10. Best album of 2011. “Empty” is a must- listen.

I just played it for the first time this morning and I’m really enjoying the sound he and Jay Joyce have created. I wish I hadn’t judged solely on the two singles and bought the album sooner.

For all the love Gene and Rhonda have received, I fully expected to see their album rank higher. But #11 isn’t half bad. It’s a great collaboration that went largely unnoticed this year outside of everyone here at CU and MKoC. I knew mainstream radio and country fans wouldn’t touch it, but I thought it would’ve gotten more buzz than it did. Especially given the high quality of the songs, arraignments, and vocal performances.

I own the Foster & Lloyd and Glen Campbell albums but have yet to check them out. I need to do that.

Great list so far, can’t wait to see what surprises lay in store for the top 10.

I don’t like the Glen Campbell album and would prefer to remember him at his peak than listen to this again – part of this is personal as my mother is in the last stages of Alzheimers’ and I know what lays ahead for Glen and wouldn’t wish it on anyone
