I personally find it ironic that your favourite post is your review for “Online” Kevin, as that was the first piece I ever read from this site and at the time I vehemently disagreed with it. It’s a tribute to the unbiased, well-explained and concise writing on this site, as well as the fantastic environment and bloggers that welcomes intelligent discussion and diverse perspectives, that despite loving the song and disagreeing with its review that I still came back to this site and I now check it whenever I’m on the computer and value it as a great place to learn about and discuss the genre of music I love, as unfortunately few people my age down here are really into Country.

Now that I’m at uni with a year to go before becoming a teacher myself, I see exactly what you were saying then (although I still value the song as my “entry” to country music and enjoy it very much). Hopefully there’ll be many more years to come for Country Universe! Love “blogging” with y’all! :D

i still remember my first encounter with country universe, when i clicked on it on the blogroll of “the 9513″ and fell on melba montgomery, somewhere at the bottom end of the legendary “100 greatest women in country music” countdown.

switching from the engaging “town hall meeting atmosphere” that brady and brody vercher had provided with their brilliant vehicle to the more structured “enterprise bridge feeling” at country universe, where kevin quite often displayed spock-like qualities in his reasoning, while leeann listened to the sounds out there – like the famously short-skirted lt. uhura – and made connections when necessary, had been a inspiring and most entertaining experience for many years.

hopefully, you and all the talented writers here will keep on finding time to explore the universe of country music, which somewhat unfortunately has been turning out to be quite often a repetitive backroads journey nowadays, for many more years and let us have your views and thoughts on the state of affairs. it is much appreciated.

I also have to thank you for introducing me to many of my favorite songs and artists. There’s way too many to name here, but the one that stands out the most to me is Pam Tillis, before I found and read your interview with her I had never heard of her. Since then I’ve fallen in love with her and have spent years trying to get others to discover what a true gem she is. That was the first post I read here, and one of many that have improved my life that you’ve wrote and I couldn’t be more happy to call myself a fan of yours, keep up the good work!
