  1. His brand of country isn’t exactly my cup of tea, so these may be the ONLY Toby Keith songs I like, not just the top 5:

    1. I’m not I’m So Happy I Can’t Stop Crying
    2. Upstairs Downtown
    3. Wish I Didn’t Know Now
    4. Who’s That Man
    5. He Ain’t Worth Missing

  2. I definitely prefer his earlier work.

    1. Should’ve Been A Cowboy
    2. Wish I Didn’t Know Now
    3. Me Too
    4. Does That Blue Moon Ever Shine On You
    5. He Ain’t Worth Missing

  3. 1. Courtesy of the Red, White, & Blue
    2. I’m Just Talkin’ About Tonight
    3. Beer For My Horses
    4. As Good As I Once Was
    5. I Wanna Talk About Me

  4. Like Richard, I definitely prefer his earlier work.
    1. Should’ve Been a Cowboy
    2. New Orleans
    3. Me Too
    4. My List
    5. Wish I didn’t Know Now

  5. I’m only familiar with Toby Keith as a singles artist, so here are my favorite singles from the man:

    1. Hope on the Rocks
    2. How Do You Like Me Now!?
    3. I Wanna Talk About Me (Yes, I like this song)
    4. Bullets In The Gun
    5. Getcha Some (Yep, this one, too)

  6. Toby Keith has definitely had periods when I could hardly stand the guy, but he still has a lot of music that I’ve liked over the years. So, this is five of my favorites out of many songs that I like of his:

    1. Should’ve Been a Cowboy
    2. Me Too
    3. “He Ain’t Worth Missin'”
    4. I Wanna Talk About Me”
    5. “Getcha Some”

  7. 1. Should’ve Been A Cowboy
    2. How Do You Like Me Now
    3. Dream Walkin’
    4. Getcha Some
    5. You Ain’t Much Fun

Toby first came on my radar with How Do You Like Me Now, which I loved when it came out. It was a few months later that I realized it was the same guy who did stuff like Should’ve Been A Cowboy.

I remember seeing him live around that time and thinking he had the potential to be the next Garth. Unfortunately the quality of material has gradually declined since then, but there’s still no denying his place among the greats of the ’90s/’00s.

  8. 1. Who’s That Man
    2. You Shouldn’t Kiss Me Like This
    3. My List
    4. Me too
    5. Dream Walkin’
BONUS: Things A Mama Don’t Know (Mica Roberts featuring Toby Keith. I loved Brandy Clark’s writing years before I even knew who she was)

There are more (Santa, I’m Right Here and New Orleans come to mind) but those are my top five.

  9. In no particular order,

    1. Should’ve Been a Cowboy
    2. Cryin’ for Me (this song is very underrated IMHO)
    3. A Little Too Late
    4. Love Me If You Can
    5. Bullets in the Gun

That being said, I need to listen to more of his ’90s output.

  10. 1. Dream Walkin’
    2. You Shouldn’t Kiss Me Like This
    3. Wish I Didn’t Know Now
    4. How Do You Like Me Now?
    5. I’m So Happy I Can’t Stop Crying

  11. I like very little in Keith’s catalog, so coming up with a top 5 for him is hard. Add onto that, very little in his career has been country. He is yet another artist, rock-pop in his case, that is miscast as a country music artist. Maybe early in Keith’s career did he sing actual country music, but outside of his releasing “Crash Here Tonight”, he hasn’t had an actual country record in over a decade and a half now, that I can remember anyways.

    1. Crash Here Tonight
    2. Me Too
    3. Beer for My Horses with Willie Nelson
    4. Should’ve Been a Cowboy
    5. You Shouldn’t Kiss Me Like This

  12. I love TK, so this is hard.

    1. Should’ve Been A Cowboy
    2. Wish I Didn’t Know Now
    3. I Want to Talk About Me
    4. I Like Girls Who Drink Beer (which is from 2012, and absolutely a country record)
    5. How Do You Like Me Now?

  13. 1. “Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue. (Ignore the opinions of bleeding hearts, this song is patriotic and righteous to the core.)
    2. “Beer For Horses” (Nice to hear a pro death penalty song in this day and age)
    3. “Beers Ago” (Great nostalgic song.)
    4. “Wish I Didn’t Know Now” (Haunting song)
    5. “As Good as I Once Was” (Hilarious about growing old)

Honorable mention: “Made in America”, “God Love Her”, “”You Shouldn’t Kiss Me Like This” and “American Soldier.”

  14. I haven’t really enjoyed Toby Keith’s music for a few years now, so this is gonna be a pre-2010 era Toby list

    1. Lost You Anyway (He used to be able to kill a ballad every time, lately not so much)
    2. A Little Too Late (The music video makes me love this even more)
    3. Rock You Baby (I love Beer for My Horses for giving Willie Nelson a number one hit at 70 years old, but wish this would have been the hit that “Beer” was)
    4. Beer for My Horses (I forever love Willie Nelson and am glad he got another #1 with this one)
    5. Who’s That Man (This is the first Toby Keith song I fell in love with)
