SingleTree, "Is It Really Over Now?"
Monday, August 25th, 2008
Boy meets girl, boy loves girl, boy loses girl. In this pensive ballad by new act SingleTree, a man questions whether his best efforts really mattered at all now that his world has fallen apart and his girl is gone.
The lyrics tell a clear story of how love's loss has pushed him to his limits, and the electric gu
itar complements that y
earning, longing feeling that accompanies so many broken hearts. The vocal is earnest and honest and is piercing in its pain.
The song itself is not revolutionary, but it's a decent introduction to the band. although they fail to distinguish themselves from other acts trying to make the same arduous climb to the top.
