Review: Carolina Rain, “Isn’t She”

Carolina Rain, “Isn’t She”

They’re a great vocal group doing an unfortunate Rascal Flatts impression. To their credit, they sound better than the supergroup – none of the annoying nasal whining that defines RF’s sound these days – but there’s not much to make them stand out, either. The song isn’t very good, anyway.

  1. Boy, I’m not sure who thhis reviewer is, but this song sounds NOTHING LIKE Rascal Flatts. This just seems like a stereo-typical review to me.
These guys are amazing, and will be HUGE by the end of this year………mark my words.
And ISN”T SHE will be a top 10 hit at country radio.
    Care to bet on it?

  2. Nothing to make them stand out?

This is the newst, freshest sound that I have heard in 20 years! Gimme a break!
Have you seen them live? They all play….guitar, mando, banjo…and they REALLY play!!

Who is this review-er (if I should even call it a review)

  3. and please don’t worry, I will not waste my time on this site, and I will spread the word ….. “BEWARE” do not express opinions on this site! And Heaven forbid – 2 people in the same house say something.

    Thanks Kevin…your a real winner.

  4. Ohhh my….sounds like some bad blood on this site.

I would like to say that this song is GREAT! I heard this song for the first time on the Top 40 countdown this week, and if I’m not mistaken, it was # 38.

And no……they do not sound anything like Rascal Flatts. I don’t even understand how the comparison can be made.

Now PLEASE Kevin, please don’t bash me……..

  5. omg are u people even listening….their harmony is amazing…..and who are u to judge whether a song is good enough…you are most likely not qualified enough to even deteremine how the song should sound…..and another rascall flatts sound so nasaly,,,,, at least this group can actually get their song voice out of their nasal region and into the head and chest region for a more rounded sound….and all of them actually play an instrument…grade c- my ass…..who as this reviewer….probably some punk entusiast who knows nothing about good music………(and i love punk music) by the way as well

  6. I think this song has some pretty cool harmonies, which remind me more of Diamond Rio than Rascall Flatts. It’s pretty catchy, but lacking in substance, IMO.

  7. It probably doesn’t matter anyway, as at this point the song has fallen off the charts … too bad, as I was a fan. But unless you’re one of ten or twelve artists these days, there’s almost no way to reach higher than #20 on the charts.

  8. Wow – Rascal Flatts – they are so good together, I love to hear them. I do love the song – you guys have the IT factor going on with your voices – the harmony is awesome.
