Ashley Gearing, “Out the Window”

by

May 25, 2008

Gearing had a chart hit way back in 2003, and is a contender again this year now that she’s resurfaced on Curb Records.    “Out the Window” is one of those “young girl throws caution to the wind” songs that surface in country music every once in a while.  It doesn’t have the charm of “She’s in Love With the Boy” or the catchy hook of “Suds in the Bucket”, but it’s cute enough.    I wouldn’t expect the  “out the window” concept to have so many reasonable variations, but it does.    I like that we find out what happens to the girl five years down the line, too.

  1. It’s a good song, but it won’t be her break out hit.
