  1. She got robbed on Best New Artist, though. Macklemore is awful, and I’m saying this as someone who listens to a pretty good amount of rap.

  2. I think it was a good thing that Kacey won her Grammys because she is what country music has needed for a long while–i.e., something more than the frat-party “bro country” tripe that has drowned the genre. And seeing Emmylou win again (maybe a predictable thing, but then she is always about high quality) by reuniting with Rodney Crowell is good for the soul (IMHO).

  3. Interesting that no one even noted Darius Rucker’s win, other than to just add him to the list. Did he have to pick up his award from the kitchen out back?

  4. That’s because Wagon Wheel beating out that field is far less of a travesty than Macklemore and Lewis beating out Kendrick for any award, much less in all 4 of the ones they were both nominated for.

  5. LeeAnn,
Who was joking? I’m beginning to believe that there is a resentment for Darius out there that he somehow doesn’t deserve this award. The award wasn’t about Bob Dylan, but for his performance. I don’t understand why people aren’t giving him more credit.
