Craig Morgan, “International Harvester”

Forgive me, but the awkward writing int he chorus keeps making me think that he’s married to his sister.

Anyway, cute stuff.  Any time I’ve been caught behind a tractor it’s been okay to pass on the left, but I guess some people get rude.  This is about as far from my own personal experience as a country song can get.    But he sings it with enthusiasm and the hook is solid.

  1. I LOVE this song! Anyone who loves country fields and tractors will get a kick out of this song. This really does sum a country tractor driver up :P!

  2. This song reminds me of my international harvester i am always driving to tractor shows in the county and everbody knows me and my family by the tractor drivers!!! I love this song!!! =)

  3. This song is a tribute to a Man and his Equipment. Men Love their Equipment, and a great big puffin’ International Harvester is just the thing. Truly, they love their tractors, that’s why there are so many songs about ’em (guns, too, but that’s another webpage)

  4. This is one of the lamest songs I’ve heard in a while. Morgan is a great when singing stuff like ‘Almost Home’, ‘Tough’ and ‘Thats What I Love About Sunday’. I’m yet to be taken with any of his up tempo stuff – ‘Little Bit Of Life’ was just as lame. ‘Redneck Yacht Club’ was not bad though.

Nice sentiment to the song, but the lyrics are dumb – ‘Hoggin’ up the road on my a p-p-p-plower chug a lug a lugin’ 5 miles an hour’ ???

Then again, Lennon and McCartney wrote ‘oh bla di oh bla da’…
