  1. Wow. This song tries to be subtle while giving too much. It has a radio-friendly vibe, but the lyrics may hold it back from actually being played. I’m leaning towards the latter option though. What happened to classy (and well-written) love songs?

  2. As soon as I saw the quality totem pole, I thought “Oh, I know where this is going. I guess Dan didn’t like this one.”

I wasn’t a huge fan of this song’s lyrics, which just ooze sex from start to finish, but I thought they were elevated by the vocal performance and the pleasantly bluesy production.
    My review:

In your opinion, was it the lyrics that killed it?

Another curious question: What would you say makes for a GOOD “Girl, let’s do it” song?

  3. Fantastic review! :D

Although I think you should make another category for Brad Paisley’s “Ticks” :D

  4. …c’mon dan, he stole cinderella – even chuck wicks had finally to be able to figure out that shoe-shopping wasn’t the only thing the gal might enjoy doing. fair enough it took him quite a while, given he nicked her about – 3 years ago?

  5. Dan?, Dan?, ah. the 60 minute man in Bull Durham!

Look a here girls I’m telling you now
    They call me ‘Lovin DAN’
I rock ’em, roll ’em all night long
    I’m a sixty minute man

according to wiki, the song, by Billy Ward & the Dominoes, was released in 1951

  6. Chuck Wicks as a person is likeable…but all his songs are blande and forgettable!

This one was just so boring and not classy and unoriginal for me…
“Getting You Home” probably is the best in my opinion.
